Weekly RCMP report

Between Jan. 25 and Jan. 31 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP had 57 files. On Jan. 25 a complaint was received concerning someone threatening harm to another person. The RCMP investigated and spoke with the parties involved.

Between Jan. 25 and Jan. 31 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP had 57 files.

On Jan. 25 a complaint was received concerning someone threatening harm to another person. The RCMP investigated and spoke with the parties involved. No charges will be laid and the matter was resolved outside of court.

They were called to an oilfield fire. The fire ignited at a site south of Carlyle. No one was injured and the fire was extinguished. It was not suspicious.

Calls concerning vehicles parked in non-parking areas in Carlyle were received. RCMP spoke with one vehicle owner and they moved the vehicle. There were no charges at that time.

RCMP received a call of a possible impaired driver north of Carlyle on Highway 9. Members attended immediately, but the suspect vehicle was not found. The caller didn't leave their name.

On Jan. 26 members were called to a residence in the Carlyle area for a disturbance. An intoxicated person was bothering the home owner. The suspect left before police arrived.

An injured dog was reported along Highway 13 near Carlyle. The dog owner was located and the animal was taken to the vet to be examined. There was no offence and there will be no further police involvement.

A call was received asking RCMP to attend a residence in the Carlyle area where an intoxicated person was causing a disturbance. RCMP obtained details and it was determined no offence had taken place. No charges will be laid.

A false 911 call was received from a Carlyle residence. RCMP determined it was a misdial.

A request was received asking RCMP to help locate two individuals. They were supposed to have returned home and hadn't. RCMP patrols and inquiries were made. Both people were found safe.

On Jan. 27 a 52-year-old female was charged with Driving while Suspended. She was charged and will be appearing in court.

A 43-year-old male was charged with speeding and was fined $135.

There was a call of an erratic driver on Highway 13. They were located, the truck stopped, and it was determined the vehicle needed to be serviced. The driver was not impaired and no charges were laid.

A 32-year-old male was fined $184 for speeding.

There was a report of an abandoned vehicle along a grid road in the Carlyle area. The owner was contacted and the vehicle was removed from the scene.

Two vehicles were reported as driving erratically near Redvers. RCMP made patrols, but were unable to locate either of the suspect vehicles.

A call was received concerning a barking dog in Carlyle. RCMP spoke with the owner and provided them a warning. They will be charged under the town bylaw if further incidents continue.

A 911 hang up call was received from a business in Carlyle. RCMP determined there was no emergency. No charges were laid as the suspect who made the false 911 call was not identified.

On Jan. 28 there was a two vehicle collision with no injuries and the vehicles only had minor damage. No charges were laid.

An abandoned vehicle was reported near Carlyle on Highway 13. It was towed from the scene at the owner's expense.

An officer came across a collision between a vehicle and a deer. The driver was charged with failing to report an accident immediately to police and with having alcohol in the vehicle.

A report of theft of a cell phone was received. RCMP spoke with the parties involved and the phone will be returned. No charges are to be laid.

A 46-year-old male was charged with speeding and fined $128.

A 27-year-old male was fined $212 for speeding.

A 29-year-old male received a speeding ticket of $186.

A 21-year-old female was stopped for speeding and fined $136.

RCMP were called to a residence in the Carlyle area. Two individuals were reportedly fighting. Both males had left the scene prior to RCMP arriving. There were no injuries, no continuation, and no charges will be laid.

On Jan. 29 RCMP were called to a Carlyle business for an intoxicated person. The male was arrested and removed from the site. No charges are being sought.

A residence in the Kisbey area reported a disturbance. RCMP attended to keep the peace as one resident left. No charges will be laid.

A 35-year-old male was fined $140 for speeding.

A call of a suspicious piece of equipment was received from the R.M. of Moose Creek. RCMP are still investigating where the equipment came from.

A 57-year-old male was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign and was fined $230.

A 19-year-old male was fined $220 for speeding.

A 32-year-old male was stopped for speeding and fined $202.

On Jan. 30 RCMP responded to a breaking and entering and assault in Arcola. The victim suffered minor injuries and RCMP are continuing to investigate.

RCMP responded to three false alarms at a business in Carlyle area over a period of two days. Each was a false alarm and no crimes had been committed.

There was a call of a fraudulent purchase made on someone's credit card. This is still under investigation.

A 20-year-old male was charged with failing to comply with probation.

A 42-year-old male was fined $230 for failing to stop at a stop sign.

There was a call reporting an intoxicated person driving in Wawota. The complainant didn't give their name or further details. Patrols were made, but the suspect was not located.

RCMP responded to a residence in Carlyle for a disturbance. It was determined no offence had taken place. The parties involved calmed down and were able to work out their difference.

A 26-year-old female was charged with speeding and fined $134.

On Jan. 31 RCMP responded to a fire in the Village of Forget. The building was a total loss, but no one was injured. The cause of the fire was determined to not be suspicious.

An erratic driver was reported in Redvers. RCMP didn't catch the vehicle in motion, but spoke with the driver. No charges were laid at this time.

A 33-year-old female was charged with failure to comply with probation.

A 55-year-old male was fined $132 for speeding.

There was a request to locate a person who had been walking along the highway. RCMP found this person safe at a residence.

A 17-year-old male was ticketed for speeding and fined $194.

There was a call regarding a computer scam. The individual had been having difficulties with their iPhone and had gone onto what they thought was the Apple website. They gave information to the false company and their bank account was charged. RCMP are currently investigating the matter. The public is advised not to provide any financial information or computer information to a company until they have verified who the company is they are dealing with.
