Weekly RCMP report

Between Aug. 23 and Aug. 29 there were a total of 69 calls received by the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP. 911 Calls There were seven 911 calls during the period; one call from within the local area turned out to be children playing with the phone.

Between Aug. 23 and Aug. 29 there were a total of 69 calls received by the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP.

911 Calls

There were seven 911 calls during the period; one call from within the local area turned out to be children playing with the phone. While the 911 call from Kenosee Lake was a static line which members checked and found that a building was removed from the location. Another call was also from a static line which was caused by the storm. A 911 call that came from Carlyle was a house keeper dialing the number by accident. 911 call from a static line, caused by the storm. Two call were from Redvers one being a complaint and the other the caller hung-up. There was another 911 Hang up from Wawota.

False Alarm

There were five reports of false alarms in the local area from business locations. In Kenosee Lake an alarm was accidentally set off by an employee. In Arcola an employee inputted the wrong code in the alarm system, while in Carlyle it was a similar case of an employee setting off the alarm by mistake. In Redvers the employee also set off an alarm by mistake and another was reported in the local area.

Assault

There was one case of reported assault in the local area and another report of a possible assault which is still under investigation. There was a complaint of harassment in Manor.

Fire

An oil battery south of Redvers was struck by lightning and set ablaze. There was also a kitchen fire on Main Street in Carlyle. There was also a report of a burning mattress in the back yard of a home in the local area.

Assault

Arcola reported assault, the victim declined to provide a statement

Breach of the Peace

There was a complaint of disturbance of the peace in the local area and the matter is still under investigation. In Arcola there was also a complaint of disturbance of the peace where intoxicated individuals were fighting.

Mischief

There was a report of mischief in Carlyle with harassment of an individual at their workplace. Another case of mischief was reported in Carlyle where a vehicle spun its tires which caused rocks to hit people nearby. There were reports of mischief in Kenosee Lake where a vehicle vandalized. In Redvers there was reports of mischief when farm equipment was found damaged.

Sudden Death

There was a sudden death in Manor, it was determined that the cause of death was natural cause.

Abandoned Vehicle

An abandoned vehicle reported to be in the local area, the owner was located and the vehicle was temporarily parked the location.

There was another report of an abandoned vehicle in the local area, it was located and determined to be stolen from Manitoba.

Failure to attend court In Carlyle a 38 year old male was charged with failing to attended court.

Traffic Infractions

In Arcola a 34-year-old male was fined $138 for speeding. In Manor a 45-year-old male was fined $157 for speeding. A 47-year-old female fined $210 for speeding near Carlyle. In Redvers a 23-year-old male charged for speeding fined $184. Also in Redvers a 29-year-old male and 26-year-old male were charged for speeding and fined $150 and $182 respectively. A 26-year-old male in Manor was fined $214 for speeding. And another male in Manor, 21 years of age faced a similar charge and fined $214.

Collision

There was a traffic collision at Kenosee Lake however there were no injuries.

Theft

Report of theft of gas in Arcola, the matter is still under investigationThere was a report of a wallet stolen from a vehicle in the local area, there no suspects as yet. There were complaints of a vehicle in a ditch near Manor, checks were made but it was not located. A 29-year- old male was charged with theft of a truck and got additional charges of possession of stolen property, mischief over $5000, resisting arrest, driving while disqualified and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Impaired and Erratic Driving

There were reports of a possible impaired driver in Arcola, checks were made the driver was not located. In Kenosee Lake there were complaints of an erratic driver, checks were made the driver was not located. In Arcola a 19-year-old male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. On Hwy 13 near Carlyle a 21-year-old male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

In Carlyle a 22-year-old male charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after colliding with a power pole.

Intoxication

A 27-year-old male in Carlyle was charged with intoxication in a public place.

Other Complaints

There were complaints of trucks leaving a gravel pit and driving without having a tarp. There was a complaint of harassment in Manor, complainant wanted someone to stop texting their phone.

A 17-year-old breached the condition of their release in the local area.
