Weekly RCMP report

Between Feb. 1 and Feb. 7 the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to 56 calls. On Feb. 1 a false alarm at a business in Carlyle was responded to. Members attended and found the premise to be secure determining the alarm to be false.

Between Feb. 1 and Feb. 7 the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to 56 calls.

On Feb. 1 a false alarm at a business in Carlyle was responded to. Members attended and found the premise to be secure determining the alarm to be false.

A call of a vehicle rollover was reported. A water truck had taken a corner too sharply near Moose Mountain Provincial Park and had tipped over onto its side. There were no injuries.

A two vehicle collision in Carlyle occurred and RCMP attended. There was minor damages, no injuries, and no charges were required.

A 43-year-old female was charged with not having a child in a vehicle restrained, belted in. She was also charged with failing to stop at a stop sign in a school zone.

A 47-year-old male was fined $131 for speeding.

A 37-year-old male was charged with speeding and fined $135.

A 41-year-old male received a ticket for $190 for speeding.

A 49-year-old female was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign for $230.

RCMP were called to a residence in the Carlyle area for an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. The male was arrested and removed from the house. Charges are not to be laid at this time.

Members attended a residence in the Carlyle area where an unwanted person was. RCMP located an intoxicated male who was arrested and removed from the site.

On Feb. 2 just after midnight RCMP responded to a fatal collision north of Carlyle. RCMP, Carlyle Fire Department, and EMS all attended. One person was killed and two were injured. Reconstructionists attended from Yorkton. The investigation is still underway to determine all contributing factors.

A complaint of somebody receiving obscene phone calls was reported. RCMP has the suspect phone number and are continuing to investigate.

Shortly after noon there was a four vehicle fatal collision south of Carlyle. Four occupants in one vehicle suffered the greatest as two were pronounced deceased at the scene and the other two were transported to hospital. The collision analysts attended. Carlyle, Alameda, and Oxbow Fire Departments all attended as did EMS. An investigation is ongoing to determine all of the contributing factors.

RCMP responded to a residence in the Carlyle area for a disturbance. Officers attended and arrested a 20-year-old male who was taken to Carlyle cells.

On Feb. 3 there was a report of a collision which had taken place outside of the Carlyle area. It was a hit and run, so the information was taken down from the complainant and will be forwarded to the proper jurisdiction for investigation.

A 911 call was received. RCMP determined there was no emergency and it was just a child playing with the phone. Adults are reminded to watch children when they are around phones.

A hit and run took place over the days previous, but was reported to RCMP on Feb. 3. It appeared a two door car was struck at some point while it was parked. There are no suspects at this time.

RCMP received a call of a complaint concerning people receiving harassing phone calls. RCMP have the number and are continuing to investigate.

On Feb. 4 in the morning RCMP received a call of a vehicle fire. The White Bear Fire Department were able to attend and control the fire, so a nearby residence was not damaged. The fire is not of suspicious nature.

A call of a single vehicle roll over near Redvers was received. RCMP responded as did the Redvers EMS who transported the driver, who was the single occupant, to Moosomin hospital and treated for minor injuries. Highway conditions are believed to be a contributing factor.

RCMP attended an alarm at a business in Carlyle. The building was secure and the alarm determined to be false.

On Feb. 5 there was a two vehicle collision in the town of Wawota. No one was injured. RCMP attended the scene. Both vehicles were damaged and needed to be towed. One male was charged with failing to yield.

On Feb. 6 RCMP received a complaint of a vehicle having gone into the ditch along Highway 13 near Redvers. RCMP attended. There were no injuries and road conditions are believed to have been a factor.

Almost at the exact same time another vehicle hit the ditch on Highway 13 near Forget. No injuries were reported and the road surface is thought to be the contributing factor.

North of Redvers on Highway 8 a vehicle struck the ditch and there were no injuries reported.

A vehicle collision with wildlife was reported that afternoon. There was minor damage and no injuries.

There was a complaint of theft from a Carlyle business and this matter is still under investigation.

There was a call concerning a person who was publically intoxicated. RCMP made patrols, but the subject had already left the scene and was not located by police.

A rollover occurred near Forget on Highway 13. There were no injuries, but the vehicle was damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

A call of an intoxicated person outside of a business in Carlyle was reported. The male was located, arrested, and placed in cells.

There was a call of a disturbance at a residence. RCMP attended and located an intoxicated male who was arrested and removed from the site.

That night there was a call of an assault with a weapon in Carlyle. RCMP and EMS attended. The injured person was transported to Weyburn hospital for treatment. A 19-year-old male was arrested and charged; but, RCMP are continuing investigation to determine if other subjects were involved in the altercation.

A call of mischief to a residence in Arcola was reported. The suspect is known and had fled the scene. This matter is still under investigation to determine if charges will be laid.

On Feb. 7 there was an injured deer reported near Wauchope. RCMP located the animal and had to put it down.

A report of theft was received from a business in Redvers. A set of forks for a skid steer were stolen that are valued at approximately $1,500. This matter is still under investigation.

There was a complaint of a semi failing to stop at a stop sign in Arcola. RCMP have the plate number and charges are pending.

There was an alarm at a business in Carlyle which RCMP responded to. It was determined to be a false alarm.
