The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 55 calls between June 15 and June 21st.
June 15th calls began with a complaint of a suspicious person walking along the roadside of Highway 9 wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.
The caller, who contacted the detachment through 911, gave the location of the unknown male, however a patrol of the area did not find the subject.
Members responded to a complaint of a loud party in the community of Redvers.
The call, which was received at 3:42 a.m. was promptly responded to, however members found the area quiet upon arrival.
A producer with property adjacent to the community of Carlyle contacted police regarding recreational vehicles crossing his land.
The caller stated his concern was more related to the health of the drivers of the 4x4 vehicles, as he had been spraying his fields with substances that could prove hazardous to persons unequipped to deal with it.
A complaint was received regarding a dark blue pick-up truck which was reported as alternately speeding, then slowing to considerably less than the posted speed limit.
The caller stated they were concerned the driver might be intoxicated.
Members patrolled, but were unable to locate the vehicle, however the caller had provided a license plate, so members were able to contact the registered owner via telephone, and issued a verbal warning.
A false alarm was recorded from a business in Redvers.
A complaint of criminal harassment was made from the community of Redvers.
The caller requested that charges not be laid in the matter, but asked for members to speak with the subject of the complaint regarding the harassment.
Members did so and contacted the complainant following to update them as to the situation.
The detachment was contacted by an individual who mislaid or lost a passport in the town of Carlyle.
Calls on June 16 began with a false alarm at a business in Carlyle.
A 43-year-old male has been issued a speeding ticket in the amount of $204, for having been recorded travelling at 142 kmph in a 100 kmph section of Highway 13.
Members attended the community of Redvers in response to a report of assault against an individual in that community.
Following an investigation into the matter, it was determined that the claim of assault was unfounded.
Members began an investigation into a reported theft of a cell phone from an individual.
The investigation was cancelled after the initial complainant contacted the detachment to report the phone had been returned.
A false alarm from a business in Arcola was cancelled before members arrived following a call from the property keyholder.
June 17 began with members responding to a complaint of two males stumbling down a street in the community of Redvers.
Members on patrol carried out a roadside stop on a vehicle which was being driven erratically near Kenosee Lake.
The driver, who showed clear signs of intoxication, failed a roadside screening test, and was taken to the detachment for further testing.
There, the subject failed a breath sample twice, blowing well over the 0.8 limit on both attempts.
The 25-year-old male driver is now charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle over 0.8, and exceeding the lawfully posted speed limit.
A complaint of an assault at a worksite in Redvers has led to an open investigation.
The parties involved worked together at the location.
A request was received to render assistance in locating a missing child.
The child was later located.
Members began June 20 by responding to a complaint of an unwanted person in the town of Arcola.
Members attended and discovered a 23-year-old who was known to police in a state of intoxication.
Aware of existing conditions on the individual, members took the male into custody, and he is now facing charges of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking or recognisance.
Members filed a report for SGI purposes following a call informing members of a two-vehicle MVC.
The collision took place when one semi truck tipped while unloading gravel onto another semi parked next to it.
The cause was traced to soft, muddy condition at the site of the event.
A 911 call was received reporting a possible abandoned vehicle four kilometers south of Forget.
A report was received of a single-vehicle MVC south of Forget.
The vehicle in question rolled-over while carrying a slip tank, and the driver was left with a cut to his arm.
A motorist attended the detachment to report they had clipped the Town of Carlyle sign at the foot of Main Street in that community.
The driver reported that their truck had caused damage to the sign itself, and had crushed a flowerpot as well.
June 21, members carried out a curfew check on an individual in the town of Arcola.
When arriving at the residence, members were unable to locate anyone, and now charges of breaching conditions have been laid against a 23-year-old male in the town.
A call from Pheasant Rump First Nations reported a fight within that community.
The responding members found that the fight was verbal, and it involved an individual who was driving around the community with loud music playing from their car.
Members spoke with the driver and warned him to keep the music to a lower volume.
Members were called to a domestic dispute in Arcola.
Upon arrival, members discovered the fight to be verbal, and the parties agreed to calm down.
A call was received from the area reporting criminal harassment.
Members responded, and after an investigation into the matter, found that a criminal charge would be unwarranted at this time.
Assistance was provided to Regina Police Service (RPS) in servicing a warrant to a 22-year-old female.
A complaint was received accusing an individual of breaching conditions by texting an individual the subject was banned from making contact with.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
A report of a suspicious vehicle on oil leases east of Kenosee Lake led to several charges being laid against two individuals.
Members located the suspect vehicle from the report, and found four individuals within who were showing signs of intoxication.
The driver, a 22-year-old female, failed a roadside screening, as did the front seat passenger.
Both were taken back to the detachment, where both failed a breath analysis.
The driver had only a class seven license, which requires the front-seat passenger to be fully licensed and sober while the learner-driver was in operation of the vehicle.
Therefore both have now been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operation of a motor vehicle over 0.8.
A report was received of a deer/vehicle MVC near Arcola.
The vehicle sustained $4,000 in damage from the collision, and members filed a report for insurance purposes.
Members are investigating a complaint of theft from a hotel room in Carlyle.
The room was broken into and medication was taken.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
The two subjects of the complaint were seen to be in a state of intoxication, and were carrying a case of beer.
Members patrolled, but the subjects were gone by the time the patrol arrived.
A false alarm was recorded from the community of Redvers.
A false alarm was also recorded from a business in Carlyle, with the keyholder contacting the detachment to cancel the alarm.
Both alarms are suspected to be related to a power outage that occurred in the region.
A request to remove an unwanted person from a residence in the area was received by the detachment.
Upon arrival, members found that both the complainant and the subject were legal residents of the property, and therefore members separated the two and brought one of the parties to a family member's home so the two could have a cooling off period.
A request from a business in Kenosee Lake was received to have members patrol the area.
The establishment was concerned that two groups of individuals, who had been antagonistic to each other, might fall to physical conflict once the establishment closed.
Members patrolled, however both groups had left the area without conflict.
Members went to the town of Arcola in response to a request for police to quiet a noisy party.
When members arrived, they found the party quiet, and no infractions were noted, therefore members left without taking any actions.
A false alarm was recorded from a business in Carlyle, however members were contacted en route to cancel the alarm by the property keyholder.
A 911 call brought members to the town of Arcola to investigate the report of an assault that took place in the town.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Members were dispatched to provide assistance to a member of the public who was requesting assistance as they had locked their key within their vehicle.
The call was cancelled while members were en route, as the individual managed to gain entry into the vehicle.
An individual attended the detachment on the morning of June 18 to obtain fingerprints.
A call was received by members reporting the theft of medications from a vehicle.The complainant shortly called back to cancel the report, as the medications were found within the caller's home.
A 911 call was received reporting a horse at large on the shoulder of Highway 13 near the Moose Creek Bridge.
The owner of the horse was contacted.
A complaint from the community of Carlyle was received reporting a situation of criminal harassment.
The caller requested that members contacted the subject of the complaint and speak with them, as the caller did not want charges pressed at this time.
A 911 hang-up call was received from a school in Carlyle.
It was later determined the call was a misdial.
Members were contacted from Moose Mountain Provincial Park following a report of four individuals fighting within the park on June 19.
Available members were involved with another matter at the time of the call, and the call was cancelled before members had the opportunity to attend.
