Weekly RCMP report

Between Feb. 8 and Feb. 14 the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 38 calls. On Feb. 8 RCMP were called to attend a collision west of Redvers on Highway 13. There were no injuries.

On Feb. 8 RCMP were called to attend a collision west of Redvers on Highway 13. There were no injuries.

A stop sign was reported as being knocked down at the intersection of grid 601 and Highway 13. Department of Highways was contacted and they took care of the stop sign.

A 26-year-old male was fined $135 for speeding.

In the early hours of Feb. 9 RCMP charged one male under the Alcohol and Gaming Act for being drunk at a business. The 25-year-old male was fined $200 and held in cells until sober.

RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 9 south. The Fire Department and EMS also attended. One person was transported to a hospital for minor injuries. At this time no charges are to be laid, but the matter is still under investigation.

An unknown call was received from a residence in Manor. RCMP attended and determined there was no emergency at the site. It is thought that it could have been children playing with the phone.

A hit and run was reported in Carlyle. Somebody possibly backed into a parked vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.

On Feb. 10 RCMP were called to a residence in Carlyle for a possible assault. Members attended and determined there were numerous intoxicated people; but, there was no evidence found of an assault. No one was arrested or charged at the property.

A 49-year-old female was arrested at an Arcola residence for Failing to Comply with Undertaking Conditions. The female was held in custody and taken before a judge the next day.

A 19-year-old female was fined $150 for speeding.

RCMP attended a business in Carlyle and determined the alarm to be false.

They received a call concerning a suspicious vehicle near the Parkman area. RCMP haven't identified the driver of the vehicle yet.

Members were called to a fire in a rural area south of Carlyle. The Alameda Fire Department also attended the call, which was determined to be a controlled burn of old hay bales.

On Feb. 11 RCMP were called regarding an abandoned snowmobile left at a property in Arcola. RCMP is investigating this matter to determine the owner.

An 18-year-old male was issued an inspection notice to have the tint from the front windows of his vehicle removed.

A 32-year-old male also received an inspection notice to have the tint removed from his front windows.

A 26-year-old male was charged for not wearing a seatbelt and fined $175.

A report of a 62-year-old male not abiding by probation conditions was received. This matter is still under investigation.

Feb. 12 a reported sighting in Arcola of an injured dog in town was called in. RCMP attended and couldn't capture the dog, so the town was updated and the SPCA was notified.

Members were called to Highway 13 near Manor where a semi unit had ended up in the ditch and needed to be winched out. RCMP blocked traffic as this took place.

A complaint was received concerning a vehicle driving past school buses with the safety arm outstretched and lights activated in the safety school zone of Arcola School. Charges will be laid.

On Feb. 13 RCMP were called to a two vehicle collision north of Kisbey on grid 605. No one was injured, but an investigation is ongoing.

Members responded to a collision at Kisbey where a vehicle slid off of the road, into the ditch, and knocked over a light pole. No one was injured.

A 911 call was received from a residence in the Carlyle area. RCMP did attend and confirmed there was no emergency. Small children were present who may have played with the phone making the call.

A residence in the Carlyle area requested RCMP to attend for a disturbance. One male was removed from the house and transported to another location.

RCMP received a call concerning a semi blocking traffic at Redvers. The semi was removed prior to RCMP arrival. No charges were laid.

Members responded to a call in the Carlyle area where one person was assaulted with a weapon. A youth was arrested and will be facing charges in court.

On Feb. 14 there was a complaint received concerning an abandoned snowmobile in Redvers. RCMP are currently determining who the owner is.

There was a call of a vehicle being left abandoned in Carlyle. The owner was contacted and the vehicle removed.

There was a 911 call to a residence in Redvers which RCMP determined to have no emergency. It is suspected that a child was playing with the phone.
