The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 75 calls between July 6th and July 12th.
A 911 call started the day on the sixth, with members attending a report of an intoxicated person fighting in Kenosee Lake.
Responding members arrived at the residence where the complaint originated to find the scene peaceful.
The subject, who was intoxicated, had been in a wrestling match with a friend, and while the situation had gotten momentarily heated, passions had subsided by the time police arrived.
Members responded to a complaint from a business in the area of a patron who was refusing to leave the premises.
Members arrived to find two males sitting in front of the establishment, awaiting a ride.
The employees informed police that the subject of the complaint had been asked to leave earlier, and had gotten rude with the staff, though there was no report of violence.
The subject was allowed to get a ride home, and the matter is considered closed.
A report was received of a suspicious person in the area.
The caller reported someone outside their house, rapping on walls and windows.
Members called back, and were informed the situation had resolved itself, as the noises had ceased.
Members patrolled the area regardless.
Members received a call reporting a cube van travelling down Highway 13 with its rear doors open.
A complaint of domestic assault drew members to the area.
Arriving, members discovered an individual who was highly agitated, and was intoxicated.
The individual was taken into custody on a breach of peace charge, however no charges were laid as all parties at the scene of the assault refused to cooperate with police.
A 911 call was received at the Carlyle detachment reporting a domestic disturbance in Carlyle on the morning of July 7.
Responding members found two individuals, both intoxicated and highly agitated, and both alleging assault by their opposite number.
Members took both into custody, and a grandmother took over care of an infant at the scene.
The 19-year-old female and the 25-year-old male were both taken to the detachment for holding, and released the following morning without charges.
Members received a call of an erratic driver in a white, Chevy 2500 pick-up truck, on Highway 9 near Kenosee Lake.
Members patrolled but were unable to find the vehicle.
Members received a complaint of assault in the area.
The matter is closed as the complainant later refused to speak to police.
A report of a fight drew members in response to the area.
The complainant reported a neighbour, who had been drinking, had arrived at the caller's property calling for a fight.
The two engaged in a verbal fight, followed by a physical altercation.
After speaking with both parties it was determined the fight was consensual, and no charges have been laid in the matter.
Members assisted a Carlyle business with an abandoned car.
The vehicle had been left in a business parking lot which was due to have work done on it over the weekend.
Members tracked down the vehicle's owner, and ensured the vehicle was moved so the re-surfacing of the lot could be completed.
The detachment was contacted by an individual reporting a found dog.
The caller located the small, brown and black dog on Highway 13.
Members called the complainant back to find the caller had located the dog's owners and had returned the animal to its home.
A complainant contacted the detachment to report two children locked in the back of closed car at a business in Carlyle.
The caller was worried about the health of the children, as temperatures were soaring.
Members located the owner of the vehicle inside the establishment, and issued warnings about the health danger locking children in a car on a hot day could have.
The vehicle had been left running with the air conditioning on.
A total of three complaints were received from Kenosee Lake regarding a former romantic partner who, more than 90 days after the separation, had just showed back up at their former partner's home.
The caller informed police that he had locked the female out, and she was now sitting on the deck of the home.
Responding members located the woman where reported, and informed her she no longer had legal rights to enter the premises, and that she would have to contact a lawyer if she wanted to gain access to the residence.
Members received a 911 call on July 8 reporting a young female in a white Honda Civic who was driving despite being in a state of intoxication.
Members contacted Kipling Detachment of the RCMP, as the vehicle was north-bound on Highway 9 to inform them of the situation.
A patrol was conducted, but the Carlyle members were unable to locate the vehicle.
Several reports came in through the day of black bears, one series of calls coming from Kenosee Lake, the remainder from White Bear Lake Resort.
Members patrolled the areas of the reported sightings with Conservation Officers, however none of the bears were located.
Members responded to a 911 call from an individual who requested police take him into custody for an assault.
Members went to the area the man asked them to go to, where they located the caller and took him into custody without incident.
The victim of the domestic assault was taken to Arcola Health Center with non-serious injuries, and the caller is now facing related charges.
Members arrested and charged a 30-year-old male for uttering threats following a 911 call reporting a disturbance at a residence in the area.
The caller reported that an individual at the home was extremely drunk, and despite attempts by several persons and friends to calm the person, they continued to act in an aggressive and irrational way.
When members arrived, the subject issued threats to the members, who then took the subject into custody.
The man now faces two charges of uttering threats, one for each member who attended the scene.
A member of the public attended the office to secure a criminal records check pursuant to an employment opportunity.
Members responded to a false alarm at a business in Carlyle.
Members responding to an unwanted person call in the area ended up with a medical emergency, as the subject of the call was transported to Arcola Health Centre for emergency care.
The subject was transferred for care in Regina the following day.
Members responded to a false alarm that originated from a commercial enterprise in Redvers.
Members were called to investigated a report of threats being uttered via Facebook.
After examining the text of the messages in question, it was determined by the investigating officers that the statements did not constitute a criminal threat according to the law, and the matter is considered closed.
July 10th began with members responding to a report of a black bear in the Kenosee Lake area, and later, members were involved with further searches for black bears in White Bear Lake Resort.
Several more calls were received reporting similar incidents; however members were unable to locate any bears at either location.
Members responded to a report of two males and five females, young in age, consuming alcohol on a public beach in the area.
Patrols were made, however the individuals were not located.
Members have begun an investigation following a report that an individual on conditions had breached their conditions by contacting an individual that they were forbidden from having contact with.
On Wednesday, July 11, members issued warrants for several individuals who failed to appear for court dates.
Warrants were issued for a 41-year-old, a 27-year-old, and a 42-year-old, all males.
Warrants were also issued for a 43-year-old and a 20-year-old female.
Members responded to a false alarm in Carlyle.
A report was received of an individual who had their leg broken in a pedestrian-vehicle collision in a parking lot.
The complainant, whose leg had been broken, admitted to playing a game in the parking lot.
A report was filed for SGI purposes, and it is unknown if charges will be laid as the investigation is ongoing.
A report of mischief to a vehicle was made from the town of Kisbey.
The complainant reported someone had scratched the name 'Wilson' into the paint of their vehicle.
Members are investigating.
A 38-year-old female is facing charges for impaired driving following a 911 call reporting an erratic driver.
Members responded to the 911 call by patrolling the area where the call originated, and located a burgundy-coloured Ford Taurus that matched the subject vehicle description.
Engaging in a roadside stop, members found the driver to have the symptoms of intoxication, and so issued a roadside screening exam, which was failed.
The driver was transported back to the detachment, where she again blew over the legal limit.
She now faces charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and impaired operation over 0.8.
July 12th began with members responding to a false alarm at a business in Carlyle.
A 911 call was received reporting a truck with an unsecure load losing portions of the load onto the highway, creating a hazard for other drivers.
Members contacted the Kipling Detachment, as the vehicle was reported heading north on Highway 9, and while members patrolled in search of the vehicle, they were unable to locate it.
A break-and-enter was reported from a cabin at Kenosee Lake.
The matter is under investigation.
Finally, members issued a warrant for the arrest of a 23-year-old male for failing to appear at an assigned court date.
