WEYBEX kicks off with call for nominations

The 2012 Weyburn WEYBEX Awards were officially kicked off on February 1 with a call for nominations. The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce holds the WEYBEX awards bi-annually in order to celebrate successful businesses in Weyburn and area.

The 2012 Weyburn WEYBEX Awards were officially kicked off on February 1 with a call for nominations.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce holds the WEYBEX awards bi-annually in order to celebrate successful businesses in Weyburn and area. The awards, which began in 2004, are presented in six categories: Business of the Year, sponsored by Weyburn Co-op; Business Leader of the Year, sponsored by Cenovus Energy; Golden Service, sponsored by MNP; Community Involvement, sponsored by SaskEnergy; New or Expanded Business, sponsored by Sunrise Community Futures; and Business Hall of Fame, sponsored by New Age Electronics.

Nomination kits can be picked up at the Chamber office or downloaded on their website. Nomination forms must be completed and returned to the WEYBEX Committee by noon on May 4.

The WEYBEX Awards will be held on June 8 at McKenna Hall. All nominations are confidential.
