Weyburn and region students graduate from University of Regina

Many local students celebrated their graduation from the University of Regina at the spring convocation, held on June 1-3 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. The awards were conferred by the University of Regina’s president and vice-chancellor, Dr.

Many local students celebrated their graduation from the University of Regina at the spring convocation, held on June 1-3 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina.
The awards were conferred by the University of Regina’s president and vice-chancellor, Dr. Vianne Timmons.
Presentations were also made to the award winners with outstanding academic achievements and three honourary degree recipients.
Among the 2,162 graduates were the following: Brea Nyhus of Ceylon, bachelor of education; Aime Nyhus of Ceylon, bachelor of fine arts; Christopher Pflanzner of Ceylon, bachelor of social work; Aleshia Underwood of Colgate, certificate in Local Government Authority.
Also graduating were Helyn Van Staveren of Creelman, certificate in public relations; Megan Hall of Fillmore, bachelor of education; Angela Lubiens of Fillmore, certificate in Local Government Authority; Caitlin Stoppler of Lang, bachelor of science in nursing; Richard Garratt of Milestone, bachelor of applied science; Kara Haus of Milestone, bachelor of kinesiology; Jolene Prang of Milestone, bachelor of business administration.
Graduates also included Benjamin Struthers of Ogema, bachelor of business administration; Mackenzie Warren of Ogema, bachelor of business administration; Courtney Bourassa of Radville, bachelor of science in nursing; Rick Phillips of Stoughton, bachelor of business administration, and Michael Raiwet of Stoughton, bachelor of science.
