The Weyburn Comprehensive School will be hosting the 2012 Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association provincial boys and girls curling championship this weekend.

The Weyburn Comprehensive School will be hosting the 2012 Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association provincial boys and girls curling championship this weekend. Eight teams in two groupings will be in town to compete for the medals with action starting Friday, March 2 at 9:00 a.m. at the Weyburn Curling Club. Admission is $6 and with this your name is put into a draw for tickets for the playoffs for the 2012 Brier to be held in Saskatoon. Come out and see some of the future curling stars in Saskatchewan as a number of players from past years have advanced onto provincial championships at the next level.

Basketball is entering into the playoff month of March and the senior girls are in their last tournament of the year this weekend in Notre Dame.

Wrestlers are also competing this weekend in the small cities championship in Prince Albert and wrestlers that place there will move on to provincials at the U. of R. the following weekend.
