Weyburn police look into many incidents of mischief

The Weyburn Police Service attended to 94 calls for service during the week of Mar. 21-27, including incidents of mischief and property damage. On Sunday, police received a call from a Weyburn resident on Ash Drive where their vehicle had been egged.

On Sunday, police received a call from a Weyburn resident on Ash Drive where their vehicle had been egged. Further patrol of the area resulted in finding several other vehicles were egged and one house door. Also, in the same area there was a window broken on a vehicle. If anyone has any information regarding these incidents, they are asked to please contact Weyburn Police Service.

Police attended the Weyburn General Hospital on Thursday, as there were two windows broken on the garage behind the hospital. The matter is under investigation. If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact the Weyburn Police Service.

Between Saturday evening and the early hours of Sunday, a person reported her vehicle had been hit on Park Avenue. Investigation led police to a male being charged with failing to report an accident. Further investigation resulted in a second male being charged with possession of marijuana.

Police were called to a local bar on Mar. 21 due to a male patron causing a disturbance. The male was gone by the time police arrived.

Also that day, city police assisted the RCMP with a vehicle rollover on Highway 35; there were no injuries due to the rollover.

Two young offenders were charged with possession of marijuana as a result of a traffic stop on Thursday. One young offender was also charged with a driver's license violation.

While police were on patrol on Sunday, they encountered two males outside of a local bar in an altercation. Both males were charged under the bylaw for fighting.
