A homeowner returned home to discover their front door was open. Police were called and the home was searched. No evidence of a criminal nature was located.

A heavily intoxicated female attended the office reporting her young child had been abducted. Police quickly determined the child was safe with relatives. The female was very unruly and lodged in cells until she was sober.

Police responded to a fight at a local bar. Police located two males outside the bar that were involved in the dispute and provided both with a ride home. No charges resulted.

Police attended a collision OnStar reported near 10th Avenue S. and 3rd Street. They discovered a vehicle had driven through a fence and collided with a large spool of wire causing heavy damage to the vehicle. A 36-year-old male was charged for impaired driving. Police also dealt with several other complaints including noisy parties, erratic driving, and residential/business alarms.

A concerned parent attended the office and spoke to officers about a bullying situation regarding a youth involved in an organized sport. The parent will address the matter with the sport supervisors and work with them to resolve the matter.

Officers are investigating a complaint involving a 19-year-old female who reports being threatened by a 23-year-old male.

An investigation also continues involving a male who was witnessed to have stolen items from a local grocery store.

Police received a complaint where a 32-year-old female was receiving harassing texts from a 38-year-old male. The information was documented for future reference if the harassment continues.

Officers responded to a report of a male carrying a firearm walking down the street. The individual, who had entered a local store and was showing the firearm to a prospective buyer, was warned about the proper possession & transportation of a firearm.

Police were called to assist with a property dispute. Both parties were spoken to and worked out a mutual agreement.

Officers attended a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 13 and Government Road. One driver was charged with failing to stop at a red light.

A complaint was received regarding a suspended driver. The individual was located and charged under the Traffic Safety Act. The vehicle was seized & towed.

Officers attended a multi-vehicle collision in a residential area. One driver was charged with driving without due care & attention.

During patrol, officers observed a 25-year-old male driving on the wrong side of the road and fail to stop at a stop sign. The male was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

A complaint of under-age drinking was investigated and determined to be unfounded as the suspected minors were of legal drinking age.

* On the morning of Monday, November 18, police responded to a semi-trailer versus train collision at the Queen St crossing. The semi, stopped at the intersection, was unable to clear the crossing due to icy road conditions. The oncoming train struck the back of the trailer loaded with corn. No injuries resulted from the collision.
