Numerous calls came into police stating they received a text from Netflix stating their payment did not go through and you were to click on the link to make payment. This is a scam and police want to remind everyone that if they are unsure they can always call police for advice and to never click on a link in a text from someone unknown to them.
Police were flagged down by local EMS for assistance with transporting an aggressive patient on Feb. 2. Police assisted with getting the person to the hospital and stayed on scene until the patient calmed down. No criminal charges were laid in this incident.

Weyburn police ticketed a vehicle for failing to have a clear view while driving, as the front and side windows were frosted over. Police want to remind motorists to make sure their windows are clear of ice and snow before driving, as chances of an accident or hitting a pedestrian increase greatly when view is obstructed.
Police were called to perform a welfare check on a possible suicidal male on Feb. 3. After police made contact with the subject they agreed to go with police to the hospital for assessment.
City police were notified of a male making suicidal comments on a social media platform on Feb. 4. Police attended to the male’s residence where they agreed to go with police to the hospital for assessment.
Police were called to assist with a suicidal youth that had taken off from home on Wednesday. Police located the youth and apprehended him under the Mental Health Act and transported him to the hospital for assessment.
City police received a complaint of a theft in progress from a local business on Thursday. Police located the suspect and he was arrested for theft under $5,000, identity fraud and obstructing a police officer. The male also had warrants from Regina Police Service, and he was remanded for court in Regina.
Police received a complaint of an intoxicated male hanging around a local eating establishment on Thursday. Police found a very intoxicated male and he was arrested for being drunk in public and held in cells until sober.
