Cash was in the cards for Weyburn resident Lisa Makelki. She won $75,000 on her Scratch 'n' Win ticket!
Lisa bought her Cash Cards lottery ticket at Pharmasave in her hometown of Weyburn. When she got to scratch her ticket, she couldn't believe what she saw.
"I thought I had six hands completed," she said. That would have been a $10,000 prize. "I double-checked it twice and thought I was lucky." Lisa drove to the store to have her ticket verified at a retailer.
"When I found out it was $75,000, it was the end of my day," she said. Lisa's ticket actually had seven complete hands which meant she won the game's Top Prize! "Happy tears were rolling. I was in shock!"
Lisa plans to use her winnings to pay off a new vehicle she purchased recently.
