Communications and conflict management expert Maggie Reigh, of Light Reigh Communications, will be in Weyburn on June 26 to headline the session 'Create a Winning Workplace'. Ms. Reigh is an international speaker and author, and during the session she will lead managers and business owners through the ways of creating co-operative, effective and productive workplaces.

With the tight labour market in southeast Saskatchewan, this session is a 'must attend'!

The workshop is sponsored by Sunrise Community Futures, the Ministry of the Economy, Weyburn Chamber of Commerce and Southeast Connections.

Ms. Reigh brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with her. She has delivered over 900 seminars, is a successful newspaper columnist and frequently appears on radio and television broadcasts. She is excited to share her insights with people in southeast Saskatchewan.

"Ineffective people management is the number one reason employees resign," she said. "It's very costly to lose employees, so this is an important issue to address. I will provide key tools and methods that will assist in this area, and help managers keep employees loyal, engaged and productive."

"We're excited to offer this workshop in the region," said Verna O'Neill of Sunrise Community Futures. "When we were planning this session, Ms. Reigh mentioned that employees don't quit their jobs, they quit their bosses! That's very true, and illustrates why this workshop is so important. Attendees will learn about giving and taking feedback, working with a variety of personality types, conflict resolution and improving employee relations. I know this will be an informative and interactive session and encourage managers to attend!"

The seminar will be held on June 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Canalta Hotel in Weyburn. Tickets are $20 per person. To register for this workshop, contact Sunrise Community Futures at: 306.842.8803 or sunrise.cfdc@sasktel.net.
