Estevan Police Service were called to a disturbance at a residence in the central area of Estevan at around 1 a.m. on Dec. 3.
Faud Abdi Yusuf, 20, was charged with common assault. He was released on a number of conditions yesterday morning after appearing in Estevan provincial court.
His next court date is on Dec. 15.
After police were called to the residence, police determined that two assaults had taken place. One victim was sent to the hospital, while the second person was not injured.
The victim was later released from hospital following treatment for his injuries.
Estevan police conducted a tactical entry to secure the residence. Six people in total were arrested but five were released shortly after.
Search warrants were executed on the residence. A knife and broken glass bong, which were used as weapons during the assault, were seized.
The matter remains under investigation.
