Plans in place to celebrate Souris School's centennial

Plans are in place to celebrate the centennial of Souris School from Thursday to Saturday, May 20-22, including having the school open for anyone in the community who has no connection with the school.

Old Tyme Fiddle contest has 19 fiddlers take part

An audience of about 200 attended the 10th annual Old Tyme Fiddle Contest on Apr. 24 at McKenna Hall.Each contestant had to play a waltz, a jig and a reel, hornpipe or breakdown.There were 19 competitors from across Saskatchewan who took part.

Planning for graduation starts at Weyburn area rural schools

Rural schools in the Weyburn region are preparing for their graduation ceremonies, which are being held in May and June. Graduation for Pangman will be held on Friday, May 7. Graduating are Tye Froh, Noel Muckalt and Chantel Colbow.
