The Carlyle Cougars 6 & unders are excited to be back at the rink for another season! Our team is coached by Wade Robertson and Kristi MacDonald. Returning players this year are: Kale Arndt, Grady Benjamin, Tristan Dixon, Jaden Fischer, Chase Himmelspach, Trystan Kresowaty, Chase Robertson and Max Waugh. Our newcomers this year, bringing some girl power to the team, are Samantha Colpitts and Kyra Kresowaty.
We started the season off on Nov. 3 by braving the weather and heading to Moosomin. They skated their little hearts out and did amazingly well for their first game. Although we didn't get the win, they just wouldn't give up and gave it their all right until the end. Chase R. and Trystan K. came up with 4 goals each and they had a helping hand from Kale, Max, Jaden and Grady. Chase H. and Tristan D. showed us their moves out there, those 2 can really skate! While Sam and Kyra did a great job in finding their positions, great game girls, we'd never know you are first year players. There was also some spectacular goaltending by Kale, Max and Chase R., those were some super saves you guys made!
Our second game of the season was at home on Nov. 4 against Carievale. They had quite a few first year players and this was their first game. Thanks to Gord Jarvis for strapping on the skates and hitting the ice to help them out, they sure appreciated it! We won, with goals by Chase R., Max, Trystan K., Kale, Jaden and Grady. There was some great passing and some of the remaining players were very close to their first goal of the season!
Our next game is at home on Nov. 10 at 8:30am against Arcola. Come out and support our 6 & unders, we hope to see you there!
