Atom Cougars win

The Carlyle Cougars Atom coached by Brian Hagel earned their first win this season. On Saturday November 9th, Arcola Combines were in town for a regular season league game. The Cougars came out strong and dominated with a 15-2 win.

On Saturday November 9th, Arcola Combines were in town for a regular season league game. The Cougars came out strong and dominated with a 15-2 win. The Cougars displayed some excellent team work with everyone getting in on the action. Hayden has a mean wrist shot he let fly from the blue line. Degan scored with his awesome slap-shot. Goals were scored by: Degan Galbraith (4), Hayden McArthur (3), Kenna Hagel (3), Logan Romaniuk (2), Caydence Chapman (2) and Coty Hofus (1). Assists went to Krimson Standingready, Nate Robertson, Caydence, Logan, Coty & Hayden.

On Sunday the 10th, Alameda Rink Rats visited. Our goalie Zane Winter faced a phenomenal number of shots and did a great job of protecting the net. The game was close, but our offence just couldn't connect. The final score was 7-2 for Alameda, with goals scored by Hayden McArthur & Logan Romaniuk, with an assist to Nolan Pelletier.

This up-coming week the Atom Cougars host Oxbow on Saturday, November 16th at 1:00pm, and play in Carnduff on Sunday at 1:15pm. Come on down to the rink on Saturday and check out some exciting minor hockey league action!
