As soccer players in Weyburn don their cleats and hit the field, the Bank of Montreal's Team of the Week program aims to reward their dedication.
BMO Team of the Week (TOTW) acknowledges youth soccer teams (age 7-12) that display team pride, spirit, community commitment and passion for the game.
Teams have a chance to win one of 15 weekly prizes consisting of track suits, $500 for the team, $500 for the charity of the team's choice, as well as a team pizza party.
Weekly winners will also qualify for the grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip for the team to attend a Canadian National Team game or Canadian MLS team home game, as well as $125,000 for new soccer facilities or refurbishment of old facilities in their area! In addition, the team will receive a $5,000 donation to its charity of choice.
Canadian soccer coaches, parents and community members can nominate their favourite youth soccer team at BMOsoccer.com. BMO Team of the Week winners are being announced weekly. Each of the winning teams will become finalists for the grand prize and Canadians can vote for the winner starting on August 13 at BMOsoccer.com.
