It has been a busy two weeks of hockey for our team. The Carlyle Cougars travelled to Redvers on Friday, December 7. The Cougars came out strong and dominated the game from the beginning. Kale Arndt and Chase Robertson both scored 6 goals and Trystan Kresowaty had 4 goals.

Moosomin travelled to take on the Cougars on Saturday, December 8. We played a great game and skated hard, but were unable to keep up on the score sheet. Max Waugh, Chase Robertson, Jaden Fischer, Chase Himmelspach and Sam Colpitts made some great saves in net. Chase R. scored 5 goals, Kale had 2, Jaden and Trystan K. each scored 1 goal.

On Sunday, December 9, Carievale was in town. Their team was short players, so Max and Chase R. suited up for the opposing team. Without 2 of our strong skaters, it was a real challenge for the Cougars. Trystan K had 6 goals, Kale scored 4 times, Chase H, Sam and Grady Benjamin each scored 1. Chase R and Max scored the majority of the goals for the Carievale team and Carievale won the game.

The 6 & unders played host to Oxbow on Saturday, December 15. It was a great game from the get-go, and both teams were taking turns scoring goals. The Cougars managed to get the win, 13-11. Goals were scored by Chase R. (4), Max (3), Kale (3), Trystan K. (2), and Chase H. (1). Grady, Tristan Dixon, Kyra Kresowaty, Sam, and Jaden assisted with the goals as well as provided some great defense for the goalies.

Another home game occurred on Sunday, December 16 versus the Redvers Rockets. Once again, the Cougars played strong and won the game, but the game was close with a final score of 18-14. Chase R scored 5 goals, Max, Kale and Trystan K. each had 3, Grady scored 2 goals, and Tristan D. and Chase H. both had 1. There were some fantastic passing plays and the kids have been working on their off-side awareness. Way to go Cougars!!
