Carlyle bantam boys league champs

After a solid season in the Estevan Minor Baseball League, the Carlyle Bantam boy's team met Oxbow in a hard fought league final on Thursday, June 21. Many were in attendance for the final league game.

After a solid season in the Estevan Minor Baseball League, the Carlyle Bantam boy's team met Oxbow in a hard fought league final on Thursday, June 21.

Many were in attendance for the final league game. The boys on both teams impressed the crowd with their skills and hard work as they battled for the trophy. Both teams had played well, but it was Carlyle that was able to claim the win.

The boys were extremely pleased to receive the League trophy. After posing for a few quick photos they were off taking the trophy for a victory lap around the ball diamond.

The league this year consisted of teams from Oxbow, Estevan, Wawota, Weyburn, and Carlyle. In the final on Thursday Oxbow faced Carlyle.

Beginning on April 30 regular games took place until June 13. Games were played at 6 p.m. with six innings determining who would go home the winner.

Overall the boys had a great season, enjoying every minute of play.
