It was a busy weekend of hockey for the 6 & unders (Wade). On Friday, November 16 we were off to Redvers to take on the Rockets. After the first few minutes of the game, we knew we were in for a challenge and we were up for it! We had a lot of shots on net, but only a few made it in. Goals were scored by Chase Robertson, Trystan Kresowaty, Max Waugh, Jaden Fischer and Kale Arndt. Samantha Colpitts did a great job of digging for that puck. Tristan Dixon, Chase Himmelspach, Grady Benjamin and Kyra Kresowaty played a strong defensive game. Chase R. and Kale made some great passing plays. The Cougars all took their turn in net and did their best to keep the puck out. There were some super saves made! Although we didn't win that one, we did learn how to raise the puck above the goalie's stick.
On Saturday, Nov. 17 the Cougars travelled to take on the Alameda Rink Rats. This was Alameda's first game of the season. The Cougars took control early in the game and ended up with the win. The Cougars again played a great passing game. Coach Wade told the kids he was very impressed with the passing that was happening, especially when they are only in 6 & unders. Way to go Cougars!! Goals were scored by Chase R., Max, Grady, Jaden, Kale Trystan K. and Kyra. Both Samantha and Chase H. were very close to their first goal! It has been awesome to see the improvements happening in all players every game. Keep it the great work kiddos!
Our next home games are Saturday, Dec. 1 at 9am against Whitewood and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4pm versus Redvers. See you at the rink!
