Chamber of Commerce hosts golf tournament

Sunshine, cloudless skies and an impeccable green formed the backdrop to the Assiniboia and District Chamber of Commerce’s Two Person Golf Tournament held on Sunday, July 9 at the Assiniboia Golf Course.

Sunshine, cloudless skies and an impeccable green formed the backdrop to the Assiniboia and District Chamber of Commerce’s Two Person Golf Tournament held on Sunday, July 9 at the Assiniboia Golf Course. The golf fun got underway with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. There were prizes for the ladies, men’s and mixed teams. In the first picture, Tyson Rousseau and Don Day placed first in the men’s teams. In the second picture, Gwen Kowalski and Jamie Letness captured first place in the ladies teams. In the third picture, Matt and Pam Ogle placed first in the mixed teams. The tournament planned for six holes alternate shot, six holes best score, and six holes best ball. There were two hole-in-one prizes each worth $5,000 sponsored by the Assiniboia Car Wash and Heartland Insurance. The tournament registration fee also included a delicious lunch and supper at the club house. Jackie Moneo headed the tournament organization.
