Graham DeLaet tied for ninth at the Honda Class last week, after having two really good rounds and two difficult rounds at the Palm Beach Course in Florida. DeLaet, a former Weyburn athlete, is now ranked 50th on the FedExCup.

DeLaet, a former Weyburn athlete, is now ranked 50th on the FedExCup. He won $156,000 at the Honda Classic, and has total earnings of $379,824 on the PGA tour after making the cut at four events.
Graham shot his best round of the tournament during the first round. He had a near flawless round, with six birdies and only one bogey. The birdies were captured on holes one, four, five, seven, 12 and 18.
It was such a good start after round one that DeLaet was tied for second afterwards. His round one total was 65, five-under-par.
Then during round two, DeLaet ended up at 68, two-under par, and was still ranked as second place in the leaderboard at the end of the round.
DeLaet started on the back nine, shooting birdies on holes 13 and 16, then back-to-back bogeys on holes 17 and 18. During the front nine of round two, he had one more bogey on hole two, then shot birdies on holes five and eight.
Both round three and four created some bogey difficulties for DeLaet and many other golfers on the course when the wind started to pick up.
During round three, he shot one birdie on hole three, then shot four bogeys, scoring those on holes seven, nine, 14 and 18. Overall, he finished round three at 73, three-over-par.
DeLaet started on the front nine for the fourth and final round. He shot a bogey on hole seven, then hit back-to-back birdies on holes eight and nine.
Then during the back nine, he had a bogey on hole 11 and birdies on holes 12 and 18. The biggest trouble for DeLaet occurred during holes 14 and 15, when he shot back-to-back double bogeys.
Even after tying ninth, DeLaet still was the top Canadian on the course, with Brad Fritsch as the only other Canadian who made the cut at the Honda Classic. DeLaet also finished above other big name PGA golfers like Ryan Palmer and Tiger Woods.
After finishing the Honda Classic, DeLaet tweeted "Thanks for all the support this week. I'm lucky and thankful to have great fans. Off to Puerto Rico."
The next event for DeLaet will be the Puerto Rico Open, which is held Thursday to Sunday, Mar. 7 to 10 in Puerto Rico.
