Girls Mini Red Devils bring home gold

The Under-10 Girls' Mini Red Devils soccer team was in Saskatoon from May 11 to 13 to participate in the Lakewood Kickstart Tournament. The girls faced the PA Celtics Friday night winning 2-1.

The Under-10 Girls' Mini Red Devils soccer team was in Saskatoon from May 11 to 13 to participate in the Lakewood Kickstart Tournament. The girls faced the PA Celtics Friday night winning 2-1. On Saturday, the Devils squared off against the EACCA Rockets winning 8-0. They finished the round robin event defeating the Douth Corman Park Stars by a score of 3-0. The girls then advanced to the gold medal game where they once again faced the PA Celtics. This time the game finished in regulation time in a 1-1 tie. They then played two-five minute overtime periods and were still locked in a tie. The team then went on to a shoot-out, which resulted in a final result of 5-4 for the Mini Red Devils, earning them a gold medal.
