Gold Wings netminder receives January Third Star

Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings goaltender Jane Kish was the recipient of the SFMAAAHL Third Star for the month of January. Kish saw action in five games in January posting a 4 and 1 record while allowing only six goals against during the month.

Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings goaltender Jane Kish was the recipient of the SFMAAAHL Third Star for the month of January.

Kish saw action in five games in January posting a 4 and 1 record while allowing only six goals against during the month.

Kish currently sits second in the league with a .942 save percentage and a 1.34 goals against average in 19 appearances during the 2013-14 season.

The 17-year-old has donned the pads for her hometown Gold Wings for four seasons. Kish will cap off a very successful SFMAAAHL career when the season concludes.

She set the record this month for most career wins at 37 and is fourth in minutes played at 3470 and a .931 save percentage. The Gold Wings will count heavily on Kish's experience to lead them over the remainder of the season and into the playoffs.
