Hockey Weekend set for January 17 to 19 in Weyburn

Weyburn Minor Hockey is presenting the Sask Energy Hockey Weekend from Friday January 17 to Sunday, January 19.

Weyburn Minor Hockey is presenting the Sask Energy Hockey Weekend from Friday January 17 to Sunday, January 19.

The community is invited to Crescent Point Place and the Tom Zandee Sports Arena all weekend long to cheer on the Weyburn players and celebrate Canada's game.

Weyburn teams will play games all weekend long in all divisions beginning on Friday, January 17 beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the Initiation Andrew Agencies Mites vs Great Plains Ford Mustangs at Crescent Point Place while the action starts at 6:30 p.m. in the sports arena where the Novice Rotary Sharks take on the Aldon Oilers.

Back to back hockey continues until 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 18, the action begins at 8:30 a.m. with the Initiation Circle D Leafs against the Key Well Oilkids in Crescent Point Place and the action beginning in the sports arena at 11:15 a.m. with the first group of Timbits 4 & under followed by a second group of Timbits 4 & under #2. Saturday action runs all day, with entertaining games from all divisions until 10:30 p.m.

Sunday at 8:30 a.m. the Novice Dodge Caravan Whalers take on the Lions at Crescent Point Place while the Initiation Circle D Leafs meet the Credit Union Fat Cats in the sports arena. Hockey action takes place all day until 9:45 p.m.
