Hillary Isleifson has reached the four year eligibility point for participating in university athletics at the Montanan State University-Northern where she is majoring in biology. Isleifson attended the university on a volleyball scholarship and her team was predicted to finish sixth overall this year. Her team, The Skylights, shattered this prediction by making it all the way to the finals where they lost in the last game by only two points to Carroll College.

The final showdown, which took place in Butte, Montana "was a bittersweet ending," she said. Isleifson described a steady improvement in her team's performance over the years and seemed satisfied ending her university athletic career after reaching these heights.

On top of ranking second place overall as a team, the senior outside hitter took home the First Team All Conference award for the second straight season. Isleifson, along with two of her teammates, were chosen to receive the award, which is the highest honor for an individual player in the Frontier Conference.

Between hitting the books and her commitments as an athlete, Isleifson described having very little down time. "It was really busy and I have a lot of free time now that it's over," she said.

After completing her studies in May of this year, Isleifson is considering a career in physical therapy and sports training. She is also contemplating coaching some of the younger players in the area. Based on her accomplishments to date, aspiring athletes would certainly benefit from Isleifson's rich knowledge and experience of the game.
