The Notekeu Hockey League opens its new 2017-2018 hockey season on November 10 featuring three exciting matchups. The season promises lots of drama and competitive sporting action. The Assiniboia Senior Rebels, the 2016-2017 season champions, are gunning to repeat their success, while other teams are vying to lift the cup as winners in their home arenas.

The Assiniboia Senior Rebels kick off the season against the Coronach Merchants on home ice at the Assiniboia Civic Centre on November 10. The Mossbank Blades, which made it to the final last season, meets the Gravelbourg Hornets at home in Mossbank. Glentworth Thunder visits Rockglen to take on the Nitehawks. On November 11, the Nitehawks travel to Coronach to face the Merchants, the Senior Rebels visits the Thunder in Glentworth, while Mossbank heads to Gravelbourg to meet the Hornets.

On the following weekend, seven teams take to the ice. Three matchups are featured on November 17: The Hodgeville Huskies play the Merchants in Coronach on November 17, the Assiniboia Senior Rebels travel to Mossbank to meet the Blades, and the Rockglen Nitehawks play at home to the Gravelbourg Hornets. On November 18, the Coronach Merchants play at home to the Assiniboia Senior Rebels, Glentworth Thunder travels to Gravelbourg to meet the Hornets, and the Hodgeville Huskies go to Mossbank to meet the Blades.

On the last weekend of November, five matchups get underway. On November 24, Rockglen meets Assiniboia at the Civic Centre in Assiniboia, and Hodgville takes on Glentworth on home ice. The following day on November 25, Glentworth travels to Coronach to play the Merchants, Hodgeville travels to Gravelbourg to play the Hornets, while Rockglen visits the Mossbank Blades.

December features senior hockey action right to the end of the year. On December 1, Gravelbourg heads to Assiniboia, Rockglen travels to Hodgeville and Coronach comes to Mossbank. On December 2, Assiniboia is in Glentworth, and Mossbank travels to Rockglen.

The following weekend sees three days of hockey around the region. On December 8, Assiniboia hosts Mossbank, and Gravelbourg hosts Glentworth. On December 9, Gravelbourg meets the Merchants in Coronach, Assiniboia travels to Hodgeville, and Mossbank hosts Glentworth. Coronach meets the Huskies in Hodgeville on December 10.

There are five matchups in mid-December. Glentworth hosts Coronach on December 15, while Mossbank heads to Gravelbourg and Hodgeville goes to Rockglen. On December 16, Gravelbourg travels to Hodgeville, and Assiniboia goes to Rockglen. On December 22, Coronach hosts Gravelbourg, Glentworth hosts Hodgeville, and Mossbank hosts Rockglen. On December 23, Rockglen is at Glentworth, and Coronach heads to Gravelbourg. The year ends with Gravelbourg visiting Assiniboia and Hodgeville traveling to Glentworth on December 29, and Hodgeville facing the Blades in Mossbank on December 30.
