Had it not been for two last-minute goals, the Estevan PowerTech Panthers would have had three of four points on the weekend.

Instead, they had to settle for one.

The Weyburn Drillers scored with 0.4 seconds left to pull into a 3-3 tie on Saturday, and the next day, the Prairie Storm scored with 59 seconds left to beat the Panthers 4-3.

On Saturday, Haley Ronyk scored what appeared to be the game winner with 26 seconds left, tucking in a rebound at the side of the net, only for Weyburn's Twylla Tendler to tie it half a second before the buzzer.

The Panthers had taken a 2-0 lead after the first period. Cheyenne Grant scored first on a power play less than nine minutes in, and Jenna Grube added to the lead at 17:48.

Estevan outshot Weyburn 11-2 in the first period and 31-24 overall.

Josee Casavant got the Drillers on the board midway through the second period and Beth Ann Goudy tied it at 17:40 on a shot from the top of the left circle.

Litesha Spittal made 21 saves for the Panthers.

On Sunday, Ronyk and Brooklyn Dukart scored four minutes apart late in the third period to pull the Panthers into a tie, only for Gina Mullen to win it with a minute left.

The Storm led 1-0 after the first period on a Sami Jo Henry goal at 15:16.

Grube knotted the score four minutes into the second period, but goals by Madison Holowachuk and Mickenzie Bostock a minute apart made it 3-1 after 40 minutes.

Brianna Cote stopped 18 of 22 shots in the Panthers' crease.

The Panthers are on the road this week. They visit the Regina Capitals tomorrow before facing the Diefenbaker Thunder on the weekend, playing in Lucky Lake on Saturday and Beechy on Sunday.
