The Wings drew the Notre Dame Hounds for their first round of SHA provincial playoffs, which is played as a two game total goals contest. Game one was played January 11 at Crescent Point Place. The first game ended 2-2 with the Wings scoring the only goal in the first period thanks to Brayden Leslie, who was assisted by Kolten Cleasby and Jack Carleton. The two teams traded goals in the second period, with Donovan Lumb scoring for Weyburn, assisted by Braden Mellon. Notre Dame added the lone goal in the third period, sending the contest back to Wilcox to settle the affair. Terrick Wilderman had a strong effort in net for the Wings.

Weyburn travelled to Notre Dame on January 13 and came out hard to start the game. In an early power play, the Wings took the lead on a goal right from the faceoff with Cleasby scoring, assisted by Leslie. Wilderman made several key saves in the first period to keep the Wings up by one as the period ended with a 1-0 Weyburn lead. The Wings were outshot 18-7 in the period. The second period saw action pick up on the score clock as both teams found the back of the net with the Wings taking a 2-0 lead early in the second with a great effort from Kendall Oliver who beat a couple of defenders before beating the Hounds' goaltender. Assisting on Oliver's goal were Leslie and D. Lumb. The Hounds responded by scoring three goals in the final eight minutes of the period to take a one goal lead into the final period. The Wings continued their trend of the first two periods by scoring goals one minute apart early in the third to regain the lead. Mellon scored the first goal with help from Lyndon Lumb and Lance Tendler. That goal was followed up by a goal from D. Lumb, assisted by Brayden Ganson and Jacob Eger. Unfortunately for the Wings, they were unable to hold back the Hounds as they would come back with two goals with under five minutes left to play. The Wings tried unsuccessfully twice to get the goalie out of the net for an extra attacker, but on both occasions the Hounds were able to put pucks into the open net and make the final score 7-4. Wilderman played well in net, suffering the loss.

To round out the weekend, the Wings played Saturday afternoon in Pilot Butte against the Prairie Storm and battled hard after the disappointing loss 12 hours earlier to the Hounds. The Wings trailed after 20 minutes 2-1, with Kyle Crozier scoring their goal assisted by Eger. The Wings tied the game in the second on a goal from D. Lumb as Cleasby and Tendler picked up assists. The third period saw each team add one more goal and the game ended in a draw. Weyburn's third period goal came off the stick of D. Lumb, with Tucker Neuberger adding the lone assist. Wilderman was in net for the Wings.
