The Wings hosted the Moose Jaw Warriors on January 7 and skated away with 4-0 victory. Dylan Frey scored first for the Wings in the opening period, assisted by Kyle Crozier and Daniel Watson. Crozier scored the second goal assisted by Frey and Daniel Fellner. Watson scored in the second period assisted by Brayden Leslie and Crozier. Also scoring for Weyburn in the second period was Jack Carleton, assisted by Donovan Lumb and Lance Tendler. Terrick Wilderman was in net for the Wings stopping all 27 shots he faced to earn the shut out.

On January 8, the Wings hosted the Pilot Butte Prairie Storm and pulled off a buzzer-beating win of 3-2. Weyburn outplayed the Storm in the first period and out-shot them 13 to 6, but neither team was able to find the twine and break the goose egg. The second period saw the teams trade goals four minutes apart. Scoring Weyburn's second period goal was Cole Sjostrand with the lone assist to Tucker Neuberger.

In the third period the Wings took the lead early on an unassisted point shot from Fellner. The Storm evened the contest with twelve minutes to play on a deflection in front of a busy Weyburn crease. The teams traded scoring chances down the stretch and it appeared that the game would end in a draw, until the Storm were assessed a penalty with 11 seconds left. The Wings' coaching staff called a time out and set up the play they wanted with a face off in the Storm end. Off the draw the puck went to the net and with eight seconds to play the puck ended up in the back of the Storm's net. Scoring the game winner was Neuberger, with assists to Lyndon and Donovan Lumb. Billy Cuthbert had a strong game in the net, picking up the win.

The next action for the Wings will be on Wednesday January 11 at Crescent Point Place, when the Wings will open their quest for a provincial title in a first round two game total point battle versus the Notre Dame Hounds.
