Regina Pats fall to Moose Jaw 5-2

REGINA — The Regina Pats fell 5-2 Thursday on the road in Moose Jaw.

The Warriors scored four first period goals to lead 4-1 at the first intermission. Both Western Hockey League teams scored once in the second session and then had a scoreless third. For the Pats, Stanislav Svozil scored his first of the season in the first period. Connor Bedard collected his 10th goal of the campaign in the third. Regina goalie Drew Sim suffered his first loss of the season. He turned away 37 of the 42 shots he faced. For the Warriors, goalie Jackson Unger had 23 saves.

The Moose Jaw Warriors were to visit Regina on Sunday. Bad weather forced the contest to be postponed until Wednesday.

The 6-5-0-1 Pats continue their homestand this weekend. The Everett Silvertips visit on Saturday night. The Tri-Cities American are in the Queen City on Sunday.
