With the end of the Saskatchewan Summer Games in Meadow Lake, Team South East received a special bonus for their efforts.

In addition to all the individual and team success (72 medals in total) Team South East (as a whole) has won the Joe Griffith Award. The Joe Griffith Trophy is awarded to the district team who shows the most improvement from their final flag point standing at previous Saskatchewan Games. The comparison is made on a winter to winter and summer to summer basis. Team South East was awarded this at the last winter games (2010 in Moose Jaw) as well.

The Joe Griffith Trophy was awarded to Team Rivers West at the closing ceremony but a calculation error was discovered which showed that Team South East actually showed the greatest improvement.
