The Carlyle Cougars Novice 8 & Under team, coached by Larrie Rae & Jeff Humphries played two exhibition games this past week. They were in Alameda on Monday, November 12th versus the Oxbow Huskies, and on Sunday, Nov. 18 played the Moosomin Novice White.
The Oxbow game was a tough played, action-filled game. There were many fans in the stands and the Cougars didn't disappoint. Cooper Humphries played net and did an outstanding job. There were seven total penalties, with Oxbow serving five of them. Goals were scored by Colby Cuddington, Drayden Arndt and Logan Romaniuk. The end result was a 10-11 loss for the Cougars.
The Moosomin game was a disappointing loss of 6-21. Goal scorers were Colby Cuddington and Tyrell Dixon. Cooper Humphries was our net-minder. Going into the game with a nine player line-up everyone had to work extra hard. Good effort and better luck next time!
This week the 8 & unders play at home versus Redvers on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 10:15 am, and again on Sunday in Bienfait at 1pm. GO COUGARS!!
