TS&M Bruins get sixth win in Humboldt

The Estevan TS&M Bruins earned a weekend split on the road, losing 6-3 to the Sask Valley Vipers on Saturday and beating the Humboldt Broncos 9-4 on Sunday.


The Estevan TS&M Bruins earned a weekend split on the road, losing 6-3 to the Sask Valley Vipers on Saturday and beating the Humboldt Broncos 9-4 on Sunday.

The Bruins (6-14-2) now boast a 4-3 record in 2012 in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League.
Tanner Jeannot, Brady Third and Talys Halabuza all scored twice for the Bruins on Sunday, with Tyran Brown, Kyle Salaway and Colton Winton adding singles.

Cameron Lavoie was in goal for the victory. The Bruins trailed 4-2 after the first period, but roared back with seven unanswered goals, including five in the second period.

William Eichorst, Logan Karakochuk, Connor Odelein and Tanner Brockman countered for the Broncos (3-19-1).

League scoring leader Terrell Draude led the way for the Vipers on Saturday with three goals and two assists.

The teams were tied 3-3 at one point late in the second period, but the Vipers (14-4-4) would pull away with three unanswered goals.

Estevan's three goals came in a span of less than six minutes in the second period.
Salaway paced the Bruins with a pair of tallies, with Jeannot adding the other.

Liam Maley, Clayton McKenzie and Scotty Stewart had the other Sask Valley goals. The Bruins have no games this weekend because of a Sask First zone camp in Kipling.
