Two wins for Gold Wings on the weekend

The Weyburn Gold Wings defeated the Battlefords Sharks on home ice over the weekend in their two match ups. Gold Wing Paige Smith racked up five points, including a natural hat trick in the second period.

Weyburn Gold Wing Ashten Sinclair is in position for a rebound, however, Madison Casavant 's shot was able to elude Battlefords Sharks goalie to put the Gold Wings on the scoreboard in the first period of their match up at Crescent Point Place Sunday, October 20. The Gold Wings beat the Sharks Saturday night 5-1 and again on Sunday with a score of 7-4.

Gold Wing Paige Smith racked up five points, including a natural hat trick in the second period. Tessa Wilson started the scoring in the first period at Saturday night's game. The Gold Wings skated to a 5-1 victory over the visiting Sharks.

On Sunday afternoon, the Gold Wings defeated the Sharks 7-4. Madison Casavant started the scoring from Kassidy Sjostrand.

Asten Sinclair, Jenica Whitrow and a second goal from Casavant were added to the scoreboard in the second.

Caitlin Dempsey, with two goals and Tessa Wilson rounded off the win for the Gold Wings in the third period.

The Gold Wings next action will be on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 in Saskatoon.
