Weyburn Synchro Stars compete at provincial figure meet

Weyburn Synchro Stars competitive club attended their first competition and development camp of the season November 16 at 15 Wing Moose Jaw Air Force Base.

Weyburn Synchro Stars where honoured with three provincial awards. Jasmine Fraser received the 2012-13 Weiner Sisters Provincial Coach of the Year. Mackenzie Kot received the 2012-13 Recreational Athlete of the Year. Tracey Rothwell received the 2012-13 Jami Eistetter Provincial Coaching Excellence Award at an awards banquet held in Moose Jaw November 16.

Weyburn Synchro Stars competitive club attended their first competition and development camp of the season November 16 at 15 Wing Moose Jaw Air Force Base.

This was one of the largest figure events ever hosted with over 150 provincial and national competitive athletes attending, with seven local Weyburn athletes placing in the top 15.

In the 10 years and under category, Maehaily Cascagnette placed 14th , Emma Kot was 15th, Bryanna Yeik placed 16th, Ashley Kot was 17th , Hallee Vinck placed 26th and Marley Kradovill- placed 27th . Their coach is Shelley Dammann.

In the 12 years and under category: Morgan Sprecken placed 11th , Kayla Olfert was 14th , Katie Robinson placed 16th, Megan Dammann was 19th, Abby Pohl came in 27th, Jaylynn Haupstein placed 29th . Their coach is Jasmine Fraser.

In the Novice catergory under coach Jasmine Fraser, Mackenna Glennie and Mackenzie Kot were in a three way tie for 6th place.

Jillian Harder placed 8th, Savannah Pohl came in 18th, and Alexis Vandermey was 19th in the 13-15 year category under coach Tracey Rothwell.

In the evening, at the Synchro Sask awards banquet, Weyburn Synchro Stars where honoured with three provincial awards. Jasmine Fraser received the 2012-13 Weiner Sisters Provincial Coach of the Year. Mackenzie Kot received the 2012-13 Recreational Athlete of the Year. Tracey Rothwell received the 2012-13 Jami Eistetter Provincial Coaching Excellence Award.
