Fifty teams hit the water and more than 250 fish were caught, but it was a different number that mattered most on Saturday.

When it was all over, the team of Carl and Coby Humphreys weighed in at a total of 14.82 pounds to win the 11th annual Walleye Classic at Boundary Dam.

The Humphreys reeled in a full pound more than the nearest competition, as Michael Nelson and Lee Mielke finished second with a net weight of 13.56.

Clinton and Chandler Harkins came in third place at 12.90 pounds.

However, it was Nelson and Mielke getting some redemption in the biggest fish contest. They hooked a walleye weighing 7.48 pounds.

The Humphreys duo had the second-biggest fish, weighing in at 7.08 pounds.

The Walleye Classic is held annually at Boundary in May, with the 50 available spaces filled every year. Teams are allowed to catch up to six fish, which are released after being weighed.

Brad and Darren Frater came in fourth place at 12.34 pounds, followed by Greg and Stan Gessner (11.88), Delvin and Linda Kushniryk (11.76), Steve Malo and Kelly Yurkiw (11.46), Glen Boehme and Jeremy Mayer (11.00), Justin and Dallas Dzuba (10.96) and Lance Marcotte and Karen Soke (10.84) to round out the top 10.
