In this case, the third time wasn't a charm. It was a nightmare.

Already reeling from damage and loss of revenue caused by this year's flooding, the Estevan Woodlawn Golf Club now has to do something about its clubhouse.

The building took on about two-and-a-half feet of water last week and extensive repairs will be needed for the $1.3 million facility.

"We're in there right now, ripping things apart," said general manager Brian Dueck on Monday afternoon.

"There's lots of damage. We're going to have to gut the whole bottom level, depending on how much moisture there is."
It's not known how much the repairs will cost.

The annual Men's Classic Open, scheduled for the end of this month, has already been ruled out, with no makeup.

Last week's sunny weather gave the course a small reprieve as flood waters receded, but it will take a lot more for the course to get back on track.

"We need the whole summer to be like this," Dueck said.

The front nine could open in early-to-mid August, barring more rain.

"We boated in here a couple of times and we're just grinding it out," said Dueck.

"It's been a very tough year, but we'll get through it and move on. Five or six years down the road, we'll look back at this and say hey, we got through it."
