Charity begins at home

Statistics Canada happened to catch me in a telephone survey Monday, December 3 about health care in our province. The survey set me to thinking about our health care. Although one may be well, occasionally doctors and nurses are needed.

One area in the southeast of Saskatchewan has had a terrible setback. One - there may be more- overworked health care giver failed to regain what was needed - a doctor test (due to too much work and no time to prepare for exam) and has left the immediate area. Help is needed here. A good doctor cannot do everything in health care alone or one's own health may fail. The caregiver never had enough help to keep going.

Arrangements to take care of our health professionals must be done before they can help us! Look after our health care team for our own Canadian people.

Another Subject but close to home too: Non- Canadian people coming to our province, or country should NOT be at the top of the list especially when it comes to health. Canadians should be able to have excellent health care looking after themselves but if their health fails - Canadians should get the necessary care they need before outsiders.

"CHARITY SHOULD BEGIN AT HOME!

Sincerely,
