Let the debates begin

Last week we left you readers with a question. I hope you were paying attention, dear diary. OK, the question was, who do you think is the smartest person in Estevan? I'm sure each one of the four of you, will have a different answer.

OK, the question was, who do you think is the smartest person in Estevan?
I'm sure each one of the four of you, will have a different answer.
But the query raised some discussions and we like discussions, so I decided to extrapolate this little buzz questionnaire with some more like-minded survey-like suggestions.
But first of all, let's clean up the smartest person in Estevan challenge.
I don't know who that would be, but I expect it's a mother with four active kids who holds down a day job and shares a household with a bemused husband who has no idea of how to organize a kitchen, day planner or washing machine. He believes changing the oil in the truck every six months, and mowing the lawn five times a summer and snowblowing the driveway six times a winter constitutes his fair contribution to the household. She, on the other hand, will plot and plan the game plan for getting the kids where they need to go, plus all the other stuff that only women comprehend and she does so with a smile and energy. Her household planner and timing schedule would probably challenge any strategic business plan ever devised by the sharpest business mogul.
If you know who that woman is, then she's probably the smartest person in Estevan.
OK, so who is the most interesting person?
We know that the scruffy bearded guy who sells beer in that television commercial is the most interesting person in the world, but who is the most interesting in Estevan? OK, Estevan and area, we can't exclude the farmers in the rural and surrounding centres in this poll that goes nowhere. Hey, it's just a conversation starter in case you're having a slow night around the patio firepit folks! There are no prizes, nobody wins a scholarship to Harvard in this quiz.
So who's the best looking woman in Estevan and area?
Who is the handsomest man?
Who has the cutest kid(s)? Oh, I can see the parental and grandparental lineup for that one already.
Who is the richest person in southeast Saskatchewan?
Who drives the muddiest 4WD? Lots of candidates here ... just my pet peeve, because they drop more mud on our already dirt-laden streets, but I digress and admit that it's not a great question.
So send me your candidates.
Maybe we should have a city-wide contest? Of course I have no idea as to how we could pick a winner in each category, but I would suggest that our smartest person in Estevan would! That is, if she could find the time for trivial activities.
Just a thought: Now that Andy Fantuz is back with the Riders, what will the Rider pundits use for their boring analysis? They won big without him. Now what do they say?

Remember, he's not too bright, so tweets, blogs and twitters are pretty well wasted on him.
