1916 ~ 2017
Barbara Kathleen Fellner

Barbara Kathleen Fellner passed away peacefully Thursday, June 6, 2017 at the age of 100+ years at the Tatagwa View Nursing Home. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Anna Kaip; husband, Peter Fellner; siblings, Max, Ann, Helen and infant Helen, and son-in-law Grant Wood. Barbara was born in Gladmar, September 30, 1916 and at the age of two the family moved to the Weyburn area. She attended the Tag School and would later marry Peter Fellner on October 1, 1934 and together they raised three children. Barbara was hard working, loving and kind. She was always helping those in need, whether she was boarding them, curling their hair or giving them a home cooked meal. She grew the sweetest rhubarb in town and her rhubarb pie was the best ever. Barbara was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge and received her 70 year honourary pin. She played competitive bridge with precision until she was in her 90’s, received her directorship at the club and could add the scores in her head. The family of Barbara wishes to thank the medical and nursing staff at Tatagwa View. They met her every need with kindness and tucked her in every night. God Bless you. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her son, Joe (Thelma) Fellner of Southey,; daughter, Faye Wood of Regina; son, Richard Bryon (Sarah) Fellner of Weyburn; sister, Dorothy (Albert) Gueldner; sisters-in-law, Barb Pingert and Mary Fellner; grandchildren, Derek (Laurie) Wood, Denise (Josh) Miller, Clay (Karrie) Fellner, Justin (Melissa) Fellner, Jovit, Jonjie, Jomel Fellner; great grandchildren, Kaden Wood, Carter and Cohen Miller and Kailyn McFadden; former daughter-in-law, Shirley Fellner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
