It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Charles Goranson on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Brian’s passing comes unexpectedly after a short illness. Brian was born in Weyburn on March 21, 1951 to Donald and Oliveen Goranson. Brian made his home in Weyburn for most of his life, spending time in Regina to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, in addition to spending a summer at La Mauricie National Park in Shawinigan. Brian loved to travel and was able to travel throughout his life. Brian was a pilot and had a love of aviation and fulfilled a lifelong dream to fly his own aircraft across the Atlantic to Sweden. Brian had a love of the land and was a proud farmer for over 40 years. He was a devoted husband to Bonnie and raised his children, Krista and Marc, on the farm. Brian was an active man and enjoyed playing hockey, riding his bicycle and spending time with friends and family up until the time of his death. He enjoyed good food and good wine and sharing these experiences with others. We will miss his distinctive character, kind-heartedness and our husband and father.
