Daniel John Larsen late of Weyburn passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Daniel was born on February 15, 1928 in Radville. He was born and raised on a farm 12 miles south of Radville. Dan later attended the Great West School there. Dan was self employed most of his life. He was a carpenter in his younger years. First employed with his father, Alfred Larsen, he later became a contractor in his own right. Later in life he tried various ventures, including running a store, driving a truck, and running a trailer court. On April 9, 1953 Dan married Rose Marie Fillion. They lived in Weyburn for 28 years, and various other places as well. In his free time Dan especially enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He was always friendly to everyone, and always had a smile for every occasion. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. Daniel was predeceased by his mother and father, Bertha and Alfred Larsen; brother Harvey and sister Adele Soli. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Rose of Weyburn; his daughter Anita (Don) Bahnuick of Weyburn; grandchildren: Christina (Wilfred) Gall of Weyburn and their family, Charlene (Michael) Steinke and great granddaughter, Serenity; Patricia Gall, Michael Gall and April Gall; Sherry-Lyn (Scott) Maas of Weyburn and son Brody Maas; brother Jay (Margaret) of Radville; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Thursday, November 17 from Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn with Pastor Martin Olson officiating. Interment took place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn.
