On Friday, November 25, 2011, Erma passed into the care of her Heavenly Father with family by her side. She was predeceased by her adopted daughter, Gloria and later husband of 40 years, William (Bill) Hewens in 1993; father, Roman Hoffmann and mother, Amelia (Riegert) at a young age. By age 27 Erma and her siblings were on their own. She is also predeceased by sisters, Linda Dennison, Gertie Hoffmann, Doris Coyle and brother, Arthur Hoffmann. Left to mourn Erma's passing is her sister, Etta Schultz of Duval, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a farmer, horsewoman, waitress, homemaker, tailor, businesswoman and an avid gardener. From the homestead at Brightholme to the beauty of Jasper and Banff to the sophistication of North Vancouver to the tranquility of Cedoux, Erma was a fun loving person of many talents. With her husband, she traveled the world.
