It is with deep sorrow that the family of Geraldine Elizabeth Montgomery announces her passing on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Kimberley, British Columbia at 86 years of age. Gerry was born on December 15, 1925 in Weyburn. She married Murray Montgomery in 1946 in Weyburn. There she started at a very young age as a Senior Ledger keeper and had her very own radio talk show. She moved to Kimberley, British Columbia in 1979 where she and her daughter Sandy owned and ran Togs & Toys until four years ago. After retirement at the age of 80, she decided to write a book "Come Walk with Me". Gerry belonged to the Eastern Star, Jobs Daughters and Daughters of the Nile. She was a member of the All Saints Anglican Church in Kimberley, British Columbia and spoke very highly of the congregation. Gerry was very passionate about her family. She was always up for a challenge enjoying many sports like golfing, curling, and loved her bridge and scrabble. Gerry is survived by her son Chris (Nancy) Montgomery of St. Paul, Minnesota; Sandra (Aurel) Beaudin of Kimberley, British Columbia; grandchildren: Michelle, Martial, Adrian, Rebecca, Allison, Sarah and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Murray, sister Eva Tollefson, brother Bud Spencer and great grandchild Paige. A memorial service for Gerry took place at All Saints Anglican Church in Kimberley, British Columbia on Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 am. The Interment will be in Weyburn.
