Helen Katheryn Johnson passed away May 1, 2017 at the age of 55 years. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Roy and Helen Montgomery; great grandma, Dorothy Humphrey; uncle, James (Selma) Humphrey and cousins, Ronnie Eastlick and Richard Pedrick. Helen was born February 17, 1962 in Seattle, Washington to Dan and Dawn Humphrey. She grew up in Seattle with her parents and a younger sister. Helen attended a Christian School and enjoyed singing in the choir. Helen married Ross Johnson on December 6, 1986 in Seattle, Washington and following their marriage they lived in Weyburn. Their daughter, Katheryn, was born August 16, 1990. About ten years ago they moved to the farm and enjoyed farming with Ross and being a housewife. Helen loved cats, reading a good book, painting and eating anything made with chocolate. She also enjoyed socializing and spending time with friends. Helen attended the Weyburn Free Methodist Church and was very active in her faith community. Helen and Ross also enjoyed travelling and visiting family in Canada and United States. She was happy to attend some high school reunions in Seattle as well as her daughter’s wedding in June of 2015. Helen was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ross Johnson of Weyburn; daughter, Katheryn (Danny) Rodriguez of Florida; parents, Dan and Dawn Humphrey; sister, Ruth (Rob) White; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Eileen Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary (Bernice) Johnson, Sheila (Klint) Harder and Marcy (John) Harrison as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Visitation was held Thursday, May 4, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn. The Funeral Service was held Friday, May 5, at 2:00 p.m. from Weyburn Free Methodist Church, Weyburn, with Pastor Jay Mowchenko and Pastor James Brackpool officiating. Interment followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn. Pallbearers were Cory Swedburg, Gary Johnson, Klint Harder, Joel Johnson, Ken Fedun and Mitchell Harder.
