Jeanne Marie Bourassa, born October 23, 1925, passed away peacefully July 25, 2017 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Horace and Eveline Bourassa; husband, Gerard Delanoy; son, Maurice Delanoy; brother Lucien Bourassa; sister, Simone (Joseph) Mazenc; step-mother, Yvonne (Lou) Hebert and brother-in-law, Brian Lyttle. Jeanne was born and raised in the Ceylon district, the eldest daughter of Horace and Eveline. She received her education at Lacadia School and went to work at the Quality Hardware in 1944, and later as a telephone operator in Radville. It was here that Jeanne met the love of her life, Gerard Delanoy and they were married August 29, 1944. Jeanne and Gerard enjoyed a happy and loving marriage for over 64 years. Together they raised a family of seven children. In addition to raising children, Jeanne helped run the family grain and cattle operation, raised poultry and always grew a large bountiful garden. She was an active community volunteer, participating in her church, sports and a wide variety of social organizations. Jeanne encouraged a love of sports and music in all of her children that continues to this day, and was always a centre of news and information for the family. Her family was the highlight of her life, supporting all of her children through life?s trials, and helping her grandchildren learn, grow and have fun. As a mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor, she will be widely missed and remembered. Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her son, Gilbert (Marilyn) Delanoy of Calgary, AB; son, Roland (Barbara) Delanoy of Beaubier, SK; son, Robert (Diane) Delanoy of High River, AB; son, Armand (Darlene) Delanoy of Weyburn; son, Louis (Shirley) Delanoy of Radville, SK; daughter, Yvette Delanoy of Weyburn; daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Brian) Simpson of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Cherri (Paul), Melanie (David), Chad, Crystal (Jon), Kelly (Karla), Chris, Lisa (Scott), Travis (Lindsay), Trina (Rodney), Jerret (Bonnie), Justin (Laura), Kyle (Stephanie) and Brittney (Dylan); great grandchildren, Aaron, Jordan, Brooklyn, Robyn, Holly, Nathan, Matthew, Josee, Mason, Maya, Payton, Vayda, Ethan, Rachel, Madeline, Hunter and Bella; sister-in-law, Kaye Bourassa; brothers & sisters, Fernard (Eileen) Bourassa, Laurent (Cathy) Bourassa, Leonie Lyttle,  Yvette (Lou) Oberigavitch, Alphonse (Cristina) Bourassa, Germaine (Billie) Bourassa and Norman (Lana) Bourassa as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Prayers were said on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Both were held at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Radville, Saskatchewan with Father Thuy Nguyen celebrating. Active Pallbearers were Cherri Doucette, Chad Delanoy, Kelly Delanoy, Travis Delanoy, Jerret Delanoy and Kyle Delanoy.  Interment will take place at a later date.
