Roger Deschambault

March 12, 1952 - March 15, 2012


Roger Deschambault, late of Weyburn, passed away March 15, 2012, at the age of 60 years. Roger was predeceased by his father Andrew Deschambault; his father-in-law, Roy Ellingson; step-son, Curtis Fenwick. Roger is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dorene Deschambault; his son, Steven (Angie) Deschambault; daughters: Wendy (Blaine) Kwochka, Debbie Foley (Boyd); twelve grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; his mother, Marie Deschambault; sisters: Delores Deschambault, Jenny (Lavern) Pleckham; brother, John Deschambault along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Roger was born in Radville. He attended Saint Oliver School until he went custom combining in the states. He later took over the family farm and welded at E. Bourassa and Sons in Radville. 0n August 24 1979, he married his best friend Dorene and they had Steven in 1981. They moved to Estevan in 1983 and ran a group home until his health declined. They moved to Weyburn in 1997 and bought their little house. Roger loved to hunt and fish and the family was often found at Tobin Lake, a favorite spot. He loved to ride his horse, Jake and "fight" with Brownie. In his later years he loved visiting with the grand kids and pulling your leg. You could often find him in the yard watching the birds and having "coffee". He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. A private family graveside service for Roger was held on Tuesday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn. For family and friends so wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Radville & District Health Centre Foundation, Box 310, Radville, SK S0C 2G0.
